Evaluation of the Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) Program: Beneficiaries Served, Services Provided, and Program Costs

What are the short and intermediate-term outcomes for beneficiaries receiving WIPA services, and what are the program variations in outputs and costs? This report presents findings on the activities of the 103 organizations receiving SSA grants under the WIPA program, established in 2006 to disseminate information on work incentives and support beneficiaries in their efforts to return to work. This is the first in a series of reports that make up the sixth Ticket to Work evaluation report.

Money Follows the Person Demonstration Program - Texas

Texas is using its MFP Demonstration to address some of the obstacles to relocation and successful access to community living through interagency collaboration, development of the necessary infrastructure to support relocation, and utilization of evidence-based practices. Medicaid Infrastructure Grants: 10 Years of Systems Change Activities-Lessons Learned and Future Needs – Issue Brief

Implementation of ACA will raise a number of issues for working people with disabilities currently receiving Medicaid, especially regarding how the Acts’ provisions will interact with the programs that currently provide them access to care. Strategic Plans for Supported Employment and Proposed Funding - Alaska

Alaska's Supported Employment Task Force has created a Strategic Action Plan for increasing the number of people with developmental disabilities receiving supported employment services and how to most effectively shape protocol to assist employees and employers. Attached are a proposed funding matrix and a strategic action plan for employment services for individuals with behavioral health disabilities. The MFP/Community Reintegration Program is part of a statewide, multi-department demonstration program with the goal of increasing the use of HCBS long-term care services and eliminating barriers that prevent or restrict flexible use of Medicaid funds for necessary services in settings reflecting individual choice. The North Carolina MFP demonstration project assists Medicaid-eligible individuals who live in inpatient facilities to move into their own homes and communities, and to help identify and address barriers to receiving quality, community-based care. Health Reform Initiatives to Improve Care Coordination and Transitional Care for Chronic Conditions – Fact Sheet

Several programs based on promising models for improving care for people with chronic conditions, who often experience difficult transitions across care settings that can compromise quality of care and increase costs were created by the heath care reform law.
