This is a financial empowerment toolkit from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. It is a resource that can help individuals understand the risks and benefits of financial products, services, and actions so they can control their own financial situations and make their own choices. The toolkit includes a set of modules that organizations may integrate into their daily work with the people they serve.

This report documents the nationwide housing affordability crisis experienced by people with disabilities. The report discusses how in 2016, millions of adults with disabilities living solely on Supplemental Security Income (SSI) found that renting even a modest unit in their community would require nearly all of their monthly income. The report offers policy recommendations to address this crisis.

In the Fall of 2014, the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS) conducted a Nationwide Adult Medicaid Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey. The survey interviewed a representative sample of adults ages 18 and older enrolled in Medicaid between October 2013 through December 2013. This survey provides baseline information on the experiences of low-income adults prior to a state’s expansion of coverage to the new adult group that took effect on 1/1/2014.
