The Administration for Community Living (ACL) has announced a funding opportunity through the Respite Care Expansion Grant Program, with approximately $1.96 million available in total funding. ACL plans to award up to four cooperative agreements, with individual awards ranging from $450,000 to $490,000.
This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is intended to implement the demonstration authority in Section 373(i) of the Older Americans Act, as amended. Funded projects will use the framework of the 2022 National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers to guide their proposed efforts. Grantees will be expected to form cross-agency partnerships at the state level and select specific goals, recommendations, and actions from the Strategy to address statewide. During the initial months of the grant, grantees may engage in planning and coordination activities, followed by implementation. Each grantee must also submit a sustainability plan outlining how the work will continue after federal funding ends.
Applications are due Tuesday, July 16, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
